Connecting Vaccine Decision-Makers with the Evidence They Need
The problem
VIEW-hub.org, the global reference platform for vaccine policy, coverage, impact and market data, had far outgrown the technical foundation it was built on. With no usage tracking or feedback loop, nobody had a clear/complete picture of who used it, when, or for what - so iterative improvement was based on general impressions/gut feelings, not data.
The solution
As product owner, Katie managed the 2020 relaunch from end to end: stakeholder interviews, a product audit and market research, a new information architecture and user flows, a product roadmap, and overall project management from vendor selection through launch.
The impact
Use rose by over 1,000% after relaunch, serving ministries of health and other country-level stakeholders, Multilaterals including WHO/Gavi, researchers, and advocates. With new traffic and user analytics capabilities built in, iterative improvement is based on actual user behavior/feedback, instead of guesses.
